Lowell Community Expectations (PBIS)

Beginning the 2013-14 school year, Lowell School is working to create a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support system on campus. The staff has worked closely with KOI Education to develop a system of behavioral expectations for the school with positive reinforcements for those meeting expectations and interventions for those not meeting expectations.

The Community of Lowell Expectations are that everyone is to be:
R – Respectful
O – Orderly
A – Accountable
R – Responsible

These expectations are defined throughout the campus in the various settings to ensure that the staff, students, parents and community understand the proper behaviors. The following is an example of an Expectation Poster that will be seen around campus to help guide you to positive behavior in that setting:

The guiding principles for student success at Lowell are based on the Phoenix Elementary School District’s Handbook for Student Success. Please, visit the District Handbook page on our website to download, read and discuss with your child the expectations for a successful school year: http://phxschools.org/lowell/for-parents/handbook-for-student-success/
