Principal's Corner

Welcome from Principal Ramos

Dear Lowell Community,

I am eager to begin my fourth year as the proud principal of Lowell School. We continue to work toward realizing our vision and mission together, as a community. The addition of our Dual Language Spanish Immersion Program has been exciting for us, and the program is expanding to serve students through second grade.  Moreover, we are thrilled to announce the Dual Language Immersion program will now include a preschool classroom.

This year, we’ll continue to be committed to our vision to promote each individual with the skills necessary to succeed at the next level. We will do that by working to fulfill our mission to teach for learning in the pursuit of excellence. Our particular focus areas this year include strengthening students' ability to read complex texts and writing to convey their understanding of those texts. We believe that these skills cross all content areas, therefore providing students with many opportunities within the school day to practice and master these skills.  In math, we plan to focus on increasing math fluency and reasoning for all students.  If students have mastery and fluency of basic operations, they will feel more confident as they learn new math skills.  Additionally, we are committed to offering quality academic and enrichment activities for students before and after school through our 21st Century Learning Community Center grant, so that all students can be successful both in school and in a hobby or passion.

Our community is filled with wonderful families, generous and helpful community partners, and amazingly dedicated school staff. Strong collaboration between all of us means that we can grow our students' hearts and minds! Together We Roar: Success for Every Tiger, Every Day!

I cannot wait to welcome you back for the 2026-2027 school year!

With Tiger pride,

Mrs. Dana Ramos
